• What are the advantages of using TTK’s threaded rebar, Neji-Tetsu-Con?

Our rebar brings you a lot of advantages with its simple joint work.

TTK’s threaded rebar has the thread geometry all over its surface. It can be mechanically connected together by using special joints with the principle of screw. Compared to gas pressure welding method,

    the rebar joint work

・is easy even for non-skilled workers

     ・does not require large machines

・can be carried out even in the bad weather condition

These advantages brings more benefits like

    ・Less manpower

    ・Time reduction

    ・Overall cost reduction

◎Labor efficient work. No need for skilled workers or large machines.

The most distinctive feature of our rebar is able to be connected by just screwing up couplers on to them. This easy-to-use construction technique allows joint work to be carried out by a small number of non-skilled workers. Besides, it doesn’t require large machines such as for gas pressure welding but only small handy tools.

◎Construction time and costs can be largely reduced.

The lifting time of rebar units can be reduced because the time for rebar joint work is reduced. It frees up crane time for other construction activities thereby speeding up construction. In addition, the joint work can be carried out even in the bad weather condition. So the overall construction time can be shortened and the construction costs can also be cut-down.

  • What is TTK’s threaded rebar efficiently used for?

Most suitably used for the prefabrication construction method.

In the prefabrication construction method, rebar units are pre-fabricated at off-site, lifted by crane and connected to previously-installed rebar at site. Because our rebar is easy to be joined, the crane time for lifting can be shortened, which results in speeding up construction.

  • What kinds of standards does TTK’s threaded rebar conform to?

    Conforming to SS560 and ISO6935-2.

Our rebar is hot rolled threaded reinforcing bar, one kind of steel bar for concrete reinforcement and satisfied with the requirements of both SS560 and ISO6935-2.

  • How do you connect TTK’s rebar each other?

Using special couplers and injecting cement grout to fix them together.

Rebars are tightened by screwing up a coupler and lock-nuts on to them. Then cement grout is injected into a coupler to fix them together. Only grout gun and small handy tools are used for this joint work. So it can be carried out even in a narrow work space.

  • How many numbers of threaded rebar a day can be connected?

Roughly 480~600 joint parts can be connected a day. (by 4 workers for 5 hours)

While it depends on the rebar sizes and circumstances at site, the average working time and quantities are shown as below.

Rebar Size Required time 1worker a day 4workers a day
    D 25 120sec 150 parts 600 parts
    D 38 150sec 120 parts 480 parts

  • How do you connect rebar with different diameters?

Turn a coupler from a rebar with smaller diameter to the one with larger diameter.

The special couplers prepared for connecting rebar with different sizes feature the half of inside surface with thread for larger diameter and the other half for smaller diameter. When connecting rebar with different diameters, the direction and sizes of a coupler must be confirmed thoroughly.
